Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Bright Futures Daycare

The University of New Mexico-Ï㽶ÊÓƵ, in partnership with Ï㽶ÊÓƵ-McKinley County Schools, offers childcare services to parents enrolled at UNM-Ï㽶ÊÓƵ.

Bright Futures Daycare accepts enrollment applications for children aged 6 months old to 3 years old. Parents can pick up applications in person at the childcare center, which is located at 700 Lion Hall Drive on the UNM-Ï㽶ÊÓƵ campus.

Children are enrolled on a first-come, first-served basis.

If a child reaches the age of 36 months before Sept. 1, they should enroll in their local preschool.

All childcare services are administered by Ï㽶ÊÓƵ-McKinley County Schools.

Paying for childcare services

The New Mexico Early Childhood Education & Care Development (ECECD) subsidizes the cost of childcare for families who are at or below 400% of the federal poverty level and who are working, in school, or searching for employment.

Bright Futures Daycare's monthly childcare fees are:

  • $1,075 per month for children aged 6 months-12 months.
  • $775 per month for children aged 13 months-24 months.
  • $700 per month for children aged 25 months to 36 months.

There are subsidizers available for UNM-Ï㽶ÊÓƵ students who qualify through the childcare assistance program. UNM-Ï㽶ÊÓƵ students can apply for the childcare assistance program by calling 1-800-832-1321 or emailing child.care@state.nm.us.
